Our Church Family!
We meet most Sunday mornings at the Eastgate Park Teen Wreckhall (12001 St. Mark St. GG 92845)
On the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Sundays - we are gathered for a time of teaching, discussion, Eucharist, Worship, prayer and fellowship.
Time 10 am - 11:30 am
Children's programming available
On the 2ndSunday of the month, we gather in homes around the neighborhood. This is a way to imitate and honor the early church when the both met in the temple and met in homes (Acts 2.42--47)
Anytime there is a 5thSunday in a month, our church will be out in the neighborhood (and beyond) serving and tangibly loving those who might have needs. Service areas have included: Brookdale VV, Tibor Rubin Library, Enders Elementary School, local beach clean ups etc.
A native Pennsylvania boy, Eric moved to California in 1999. Eric quickly found Seaside Community Church in Huntington Beach and called it his home church for 12 years where he served on staff as both Jr. High Pastor, and teaching pastor. After sensing a calling to begin a church in the neighborhood, Eric and his wife planted Community Church of West Garden Grove in February 2011.
Eric attended Goldenwest College, Vanguard University and recently received a Master's Degree in Christian Spiritual Formation at Friends University.
Eric and Robyn were married on October 8 2005 and have 16 years and counting.
Julia is the oldest at 13 years old
Jeanette is the middle child, 10 years old
Alice is our youngest girl at 8 years old
James is our little surprise - 2 years old
Beyond family and the church, Eric loves to ride and race bikes of all kinds!! If he isn't working as a pastor, there is a good chance he is riding his bike. Oh, and don't forget coffee...Eric is a full coffee enthusiast.
